We use clean, neutral linen backdrops, natural wooden toys, and soft outfits to keep the focus entirely on your baby's expressions, curiosity, and rolls. For first birthdays, we start with classic portraits and end with a fun cake smash.
Our cake smash sessions are designed to look light, airy, and modern. We provide the neutral background, simple wood spoons, and clean cake stand.
Expecting parents supply the cake (we recommend simple white frosting with minor green foliage or berries, which photograph beautifully and are free from artificial dyes).
If your baby doesn't like cake, that is totally fine! We can swap the cake for a fruit smash (like strawberries or watermelon) which is often a big hit with babies.
After the smash, we finish with a warm bubble bath in our vintage baby tub—which babies love and makes for adorable, splashing photos while getting baby clean before going home.

To prevent allergy concerns and match parental preference, clients are responsible for bringing their own cake or fruit. We recommend simple white-frosted round cakes, which look exceptionally clean and photogenic.
Included in our Full Milestone package, we place baby in a warm mini-bathtub with water/bubbles to clean up after the cake smash. They love splashing, making for adorable, organic expressions!
Yes! The Full Milestone package includes simple, classic portraits with parents and siblings before we transition into the cake smash setup.
We recommend neutral rompers, linen overalls, or simple cotton outfits. We also have a curated client wardrobe of high-quality rompers you are welcome to borrow for the session.
We recommend booking 1-2 months in advance. If you'd like to use the photos to display at their first birthday party, we suggest scheduling the shoot 3-4 weeks prior to the event.
